hi

i was doing 1-d analysis using hyperworks student edition. i'm stucked with this error

*** ERROR # 1203 *** in the input data:
  Vector defined in fields 6 - 8 has zero length.
    Detected while reading line 7890 from file
      C:/Users/student/Documents/front impact/patil.fem:
   'CBEAM       2383       1    1941    24030.0     0.0     0.0'

please anyone can tell me how to eliminate this error ...please tell me stepwise

Hi 

 

It could be because the orientation vector is along the neutral axis of the element.

 

Try changing the orientation of the vector.

 

Go to à1D pageàbarsàUpdateà select the elementsàchange the orientation to say Y axis and update.
