Inspire Suddenly Running Slow

Hello,

I am currently running a trial of Inspire 2017 7305. I completed one optimization and everything was working well. I started a new simulation from a SolidWorks part and when I try to do anything (hide a body, create a sketch, etc.) the program takes 1-3 minutes to complete the command. I tried the following with no results:

  • Restarted Inspire

  • Restarted computer

  • Saved the part out of SolidWorks as a STEP and loaded that into Inspire

  • Restarted Inspire and loaded my last simulation that was working well; that now runs slowly too.

I don’t have anything else running on the computer while I am trying this. My system information is as follows:

  • Windows 7 Enterprise x64

  • Intel E5-2643 3.3GHz, 4 Core

  • 96GB RAM

  • NVIDIA Quadro 4000

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

    Dane,

Make sure Inspire is using NVIDIA graphics card, you may to change it in the NVIDIA>Manage 3D settings>Program Settings>

this should solve your slow performance issue
