We can assign a mass to a spring element but I would like to know how this mass is distributed on the spring ?

I have another question about Type 8 spring to modelize joint. Can we use it between a type 13 spring and a rigid body ? I have seen that this type of spring is often used between rigid body (tutorials...). I use this type of spring to modelize joint between a spring and a rigid body but it doesn't work as I expected.

Normally this approach should work. Please make sure that high stiffness is provided in all directions for Type 13 spring and for Type 8 it has zero stiffness in the direction which you want to be free. Please review these and try running.
