Admass visualization

i am trying to add mass on a structure using admas , but the mass is getting concentrated at visualization node i've tried both distributed mass and individual mass (mass to be added /total nodes). However it chooses same node as visualization node in both cases and c.g is concentrated towards the direction of the visualization node.

on selection of visualization node to opposite end the c.g shifts towards that end itself.

there is a huge shift in c.g as the added mass is more than actual mass of the structure

what is the role of visualization node?.

does it acts as the mass concentration node.

the mass of individual element are same before and after addition of mass on nodes.

i've tried via nodes,sets and components but all give same results

what is the other way to add mass on elements?

hi Harshit,

If you card edit the distributed ADMAS, you will see the node set which consists of the node where you have added the mass.

Instead of calculating mass for individual elements, calculate the mass the for entire component.

you mean to shift from M-adv 0 to M-adv 1?

that is for distributed mass on area?

that was the first thing i tried but it chose a node as visualization node and that point was concentration point of mass.

the mass is concentrated at that point only i have checked it via summary c.g
