How to active the license

Hello.

I have got the V17 standard alone license. But I do not know how to active the license. Please show me how to active it. And can this license be used for v14 and how to apply for v14?

    After downloading the license file, rename it to altair_lic.dat and place the same in the <installation directory>/security folder
