How to split a line to achieve a ‚Mesh Node‘

Hello,

I would like to split the line in the middle so that I can make the boundary condition on a meshing node. So when I mesh the component there should be a ‚Mesh node‘ instead of a node which I could build with the tool ‚nodes‘ or ‚node edit‘. Because when I import the model in Abaqus, Abaqus only recognizes the boundary conditions on a ‚Meshing point‘. Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello,

You need to create a FIXED POINT to ensure you have a node at that location.

Thank you! Do you know where I can find the option in the old viewport?

BUT....you don't have the benefit of snaps in the old (soon to be gone) interface. So first you have to find the midpoint of the line and then create a point there.

Thank you! On this line it functiones. But I would like to use this function on a line inside the geometry too. I meshed a partition with a little tetra mesh of 1 and outside of the partition a mesh of 4. Now I would like to receive the fixed point in the middle of the line to make a boundary condition too (between the two meshes). I already splitted the line with the tool „add point on line“ but there is no fixed point.
