Problem with Imported mesh from Gambit

Hi every body,

I have imported my geometry from gambit into Hypermesh. I have some elements around a circular cylinder and I want to convert the first order elements around pin to second order using hypermesh. But the problem is that hypermesh even doesn not recognize the imported elements from Gambit as first order elements. Do you have any idea of what should I do to get second order elements around the cylinder. (I do not want to increase element numbers around cylinders because I need to keep mesh coarse, due to computational limitations). I would appreciate if you could help me on that.

Thanks in advance,

You can use 2d > order change > change to 2nd , to change the order of the elements. does this solve your problem?

Please update the element type and change the order to 2nd order.

Go to 2D page>> ElemType>> select all elements and click update.

When you are in 2D page, goto change order>> change to second order>> select all elements>> change order
