Hypermesh cannot use Optistruct for solving

Hello,

I want to conduct Modal Analysis using Hypermesh software through which optistruct is chosen as the solver and I have Hyperworks Desktop 2020 in addition to hyperworks solvers 2020 including Optistruct and RADIOSS, but in Hypermwsh I face an error saying:

Optistruct is not installed currently!!!

Would anyone please help me know how to approach this problem???

It is important to mention that, Altair Simlab 2020.1 and 2019.3 are also installed on my PC and I am able to use Optistruct as the solver and run my analyses with Simlab.

Altair mechanical solvers have a separate setup file. Therefore, you must install it separately.

    Dear Hakan,

Thank you for your reply, but I have already installed them separately. I have Optistruct and RADIOSS softwares on my PC, the problem is that Hypermesh do not recognize them and therefore it is not able to send the file to be solved.

Is there any specific step needed to be taken to couple Hypermesh with Optistruct??

Quick solution, you can start the solution from the Compute Console (aka Solver Run Manager) interface by exporting the model from HyperMesh/HyperWorks.

As you said, I directly imported the model into Optistruct solver, but there is no change. I have attached the screenshot below.

I would be really grateful if you help me.

The message shows the modeling error, there is no problem with the OptiStruct installation.

    Dear Hakan,

Using the method you told me, now I successfully simulated and the analysis is completed by the Optistruct solver, but once I want to view them in Hyperview, an error appears saying HyperWorks Desktop is not installed.
