Rupturing of elements

I am trying to simulate compressive loading on a rubber to metal bonded part in optistruct.

In actual test the rubber portion is rupturing but in simulation the rubber is getting compressed to values which are very high. but elements(hex elements) are not rupturing or tearing. mesh remains intact.

My question is in optistruct can we have element rupturing (like in other solvers involving Crash) or do we have to use radioss?
