I am using FEKO to do Characteristic Mode Analysis.  I followed up with a video presrented by Peter Futter.

I create a rectangular, setup the frequency range(0.6-2GHz, 21points), add the characteristic mode analysis(10 modes), add symmetry definitions and assign the edges to local mesh.

Then I click the create mesh, the app stuck at the mesher window, as the attachment shows. I do not understand why this is happening. Please help.

Check for the electrical size of your plate (size in terms of wavelengths) and make sure you didn't create something huge which your computer can't handle.

Thank you. The issue has been solved.

Since this is my first time using FEKO, I did not change the model unit. Basically I just plot a structure, which is 100 times larger than it should be.
