Impact analysis question!!

We are doing a car impact analysis against a pole (created as a rigid wall - Geometry type = cylinder).
The simulation is running, but the impact only affects the front part of the car, it does't transmit the impact energy to the entire car. We think that we are missing to make a contact between the entire car, but we don´t know how to do it.
As you can see in the second image, the front part of the frame, goes through the base of the car.

Which solver you are using?I hope you are using 1d elements for car.How many 1d elements you have along the length?What element type you are using?
