1-plane symmetry in free size optimization
Does 1-plane symmetry is used to define the mid plane of the laminate so that the final stacking sequence will be symmetric around that plane? or this option has no link with laminate stacking sequence and use for defining symmetric plane for the component instead?
Any example that demonstrate the use of 1-plane symmetry?

1-plane symmetry would help to get the symmetric shapes across length of laminates. 1-plane symmetry will not work for mid plane of the laminate for stacking sequence. PFA example of symmetry with one plane.
