Hi all,

I am using optistruct user profile and on my model i have applied a moment of 1200 N.I had put this moment in a seperate load case .Now when i run my optistruct simulation it is showing me a warning that static loadcase has zero static force vector. This produces zero solution and zero compliance.Kindly help me with this and tell me about the possible cause of this warning.

    Hi,

Moments has the unit of Force*Length, so if you have applied a moment then it is maybe in Nmm. Check it.

There is no reason that moments doesn't work. I have tested it with Radioss (for static solutions it is the same as optistruct).

It works for normal to shell moments as well, since Radioss/Optistruct use a internal (physical (not Nastrans K6ROT :-)) stiffness for the 6'th degree of freedom.

Check in the LoadStepBrowser if you have selected your loadcollector for the LOAD. Don't forget the SPC collector.

Check if you have exported the Subcase (in *.fem file). Look for the LOAD entity.

Check if you have free nodes and havn't applied the moment on a free node.

    Check equivalencing.

    Regards,

    Mario

    Hi there

I tested with optistruct and found no warning, the moment worked well

so pls check the validity of your model, SPC, Load

i guess the load was not applied properly
