Is it possible to (re)start a new simulation with the results of a previous simulation is input?

Hi all,

I am trying to run a simulation that consists of two parts. The first part is the shrinkage of an object inside a cylinder and this is the same for every simulation. In the second part this shrunken object is placed inside another object and for this step I would like to change the mesh, boundary conditions etc. in different simulations.

Is there a way to do the first part only once, and use the output of this part is input for the second part of the simulation? So, some kind of restart, only now you continue the simulation with different conditions each time.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Kind regards,
Michelle
