Excessive Mesh Deformation

Hello ,

I am compressing a rubber component for large disp. analysis with MATHE card.

I am getting an error saying run stopped due to excessive mesh deformation. My mesh is already much fine. I have increased number of iterations and increment (Basically I have played with NLPARM a lot). If I make my mesh finer then it takes a lot of time to solve. What might be the remedy for this problem?

Also I want my material to become hard if I compress it. In mathe card I have given a Stretch strain curve with such a profile. But While in analysis in reality I get very small disp as compared to FEA results. This happens generally when my disp. is larger. can someone tell me the solution for that?

Regards,

Bharat
