Property ID from NX/NASTRAN to HyperWorks
Is there a quick way to retain the property ID from NX/NASTRAN to HyperWorks? When I do a Mesh refinement on the model imported from NX/NASTRAN I loose the Property ID. I undestand I have to define the proerties in Components in HyperMesh, but when I have about 50-60 different PSOLID's in the NX/NASTRAN input file, it is quite a hassle. Is there not a way to automize this?

You also don't HAVE to define properties on components (indirect assignment) in Hypermesh, you can assign them on the element (direct assignment) as well.

It retains the property values on the remeshed elements.
Upper right is remeshed with the option to retain values UNCHECKED and lower left is remeshed with retain values CHECKED.
