3D Mesh Element Density Panel Question

If I choose Multivolume/Multisolid Map options, before meshing HM takes me to element density panel page. What do the numbers shown in the figure mean? The numbers 1, 4, 10 etc. which are shown along the X-direction of the model? Are they editable?

The numbers are the order Hypermesh will do the mesh. Solid with number 1 will be meshed first, and then 2,3 so on.

No, you can not edit them.

Why do you want to change the sequence?

    Q.Nguyen-Dai,

Thanks for the answer. I thought them numbers could be related to element density and was just curious if I could change them.

For the element density, you just click on edge to change!

For even greater control over mesh element distribution you can 2D automesh the surfaces before using one volume/multi volume solid map, which then uses the 2D mesh as a reference.

Care should be taken to ensure that the  2D mesh is mappable in 3D. It can be helpful to preliminarily solid map the component just to see in what order and directions HM would map.
