File opening issue

While importing K file does it give any error or warning?Also try import files after deleting setting files.

It is keep on loading (more than 10 minutes). Not giving any error message.

Invoking translator step....,

HM shows Not responding message in the Header.

I checked the same after deleting the setting files also . I initiated import option before 30 mins Still it is not opening

The issue looks this may be due to the large file size and the graphics limitation. Please go through the graphics hardware recommendation in the Help Menu.

Go to Start>Run> type dxdiag and click on display to see the graphics details of the system.

Hi Udhay,

Please disable the onboard graphics and enable the Nvidia card, (you may have to disable it through bios, please contact your manufacturer support for how to disable / switch the cards). Switching to an older driver or upgrade to the latest version. Please mind, to uninstall the old one completely.

Thanks for sharing files to George.We are working on your query.I too have seen same behaviour with pressure.K file.We will check internally & update you.

As mentioned above i able to import .k file without pressure. I see you have only plate with tetrahedral element & enclose shell elements where you applied pressure.

I would recommend you to create pressure with faces option(just pick one face of tet element).No need to have 2d element faces & then export/import .k file.

My model requires 2d elements with 0.1mm thick.

But I have tried with deleted 2d elements also. That is also not opening.

Did you check the same model in your end?

I see in your model( .k file without pressure) only one component.Organize 2d elements in to new component.For 2d elements normal are not aligned properly.Correct it by adjust normal option or use 3d element faces.I believe by correcting element normal it should work.

I tried without pressure file in 2017.1.Created pressure on both files(normals corrected)  & exported/imported with pressure segment is working fine.
