is this pdf the newest for HW 14.0?
Hi,
I dont know if you already tried but try using the Intel HD graphics instead.
I had similar problem and thats how I solved it.
Best regards,
Gonçalo
i tried doing that but still doesnt work and this pop up
1 Warning: Unsupported graphics card detected. ID = Intel Intel(R) HD

Hi,
Looks like the Graphics card is not supported. A list of supported graphics card is already published in the same post. Please check and update the card accordingly.
will the graphic card affect the result display? because currently i'm having the problem with the display after the result like the image below. I also ask my professor regarding to this problem and he said it also might have been the solver problem?<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
Hi @wen li tang
Can you reload the result file again in HyperView?
or Just click Apply button in HyperView while pointing to result file.

after i hit the Apply button, <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
after i hit Yes, it does show me back the box again but when i want to see the result i want, the density in the box seems to be constant. i think i m doing something wrong but i dont dknow where<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
Hi,
You are in 0th iteration and what all you see is your base model density. Change the iteration value in Results Browser.
i tried to change the iteration as you said in the result page but i still change see the change of the density in the model. is it possible that there is a error in my model?i was confused about some of the instruction given by my group mate on creating this model.
1. [On analysis page > optimization > responses > create appropriate responses.
a. Select volumefrac > name it volfrac > select which property to apply response to > create.
b. Select compliance > name it comp > select appropriate loadstep > create.
2. On analysis page > optimization > dconstraint > select response of volfrac > check upperbound and insert upperbound value. Values are not input as percentage.
a. For volfrac, this number is the maximum % of material to use to optimize the shape.
3. On analysis page > optimization > objective > select min > select response of comp > create.]
this is the part where i get confused on. i dont know what to insert for the lower bound. can you explain this to me?
What is the objective of your optimization set up?
For volume fraction response, the upper and lower bounds should be between 0 and 1. This is the fraction. So if you say 0.5% volume fraction as lower bound, the solver considers a minimum of 50% mass and starts optimizing from there and it can go upto 100 if you are not using any upper bound.

oh thanks!!!omg! i believe that was the problem in the model. when i set the upper bound and lower bound i didnt understand the value that i was inputting, i m trying to follow my group member instruction to duplicate his work

one more question! wat does the iteration mean? everytime i change the iteration, the density of the model seems to change a bit
Hi,
It's a process which repeats after changing parameters in your model.
For example, take a topology optimization. Material is removed at first iteration by say 1% and the same is analyzed for equilibrium and whether optimization parameters are satisfied or not.
If passes further material will be removed by say another 1% and the same continues.
Hi Wen Li Tang,
Can you share an image of the complete error message?
