Speeding up the node selection process

Hello everybody,

I am using HyperWorks Desktop 2022 (Student Version). When I want to select a node from a mesh that I have created, the program does not react anymore for many seconds until it has selected the node.

Funnily, if I select the node with "Shift"  + "Left Mouse Button", it works immediately.

My working device uses an Intel Core i7-9850H with 12 x 2.6 GHz, which is not too bad. Colleagues of mine have worse specs and still don't run in this issue (while still using the same software and version).

Does somebody know if I am doing something wrong or how to fix it?
