Periodic Mesh 2D

Hallo,

I have a mesh of 2D Shell elements (like a disk). I would like to apply periodic boundary conditions to the model. But HyperMesh supports only periodic meshing for 3D models (periodic mesh utillity). Is there any possibility to have periodic boundary conditions based on nodes or something else?

    Hi fabian0989

You can use PERBC card which is available in HW 13.0.

    Thanks a lot!

    I will try.

Is this option available for Optistruct only or also for RADIOSS?

    Hi ttn@tf.uni-kiel.de

The PERBC bulk data entry can be used to define a connection between opposite edges/faces of the structure. This entry is used to apply Periodic Boundary Conditions to the model.

You can define it from Analysis > control cards > bulk_unsuppported_cards.

Refer online help for more details.
