1D Elements - Normal

Hi All,

I have a query,

Is there any method to find out the normal direction in the 1D elements.

In Hypermesh, if I am connecting the nodes from top to bottom and vice versa, the respective normal directions varies as shown in abaqus image.

I want all normal to be in one direction,Whether any scripts are available to change the direction of normal.

Thank you.

Is there any method to see the direction of normal in Hypermesh itself.

Now I am using abaqus to see the normal of 1D elements.

    Thank you.

On Vizualization toolbar, change to 1D detail representation

You will see systems (and know normals)

One of the toolbar items, please try one by one.

    I don't have hm so i can't help more

Or open help and explore toolbars function

At least if you want to ask, take a photo then ask us where is 1d detail rep
