Dear Sir,

I have done impact analysis on my Rollcage model but the results shows that larger displacement for a particular element as shown in the figure below

i had checked for the element quality like warpage, aspect ratio, jacobian all are fine.then what it will be the error?

Kindly Provide your guidelines

Thanks & Regards

Ramganesh

    Hi RamGanesh,

Please check whether the unit system is consistent or not, in your model. this could be one of the reason.

next, is check if there are any free nodes. Go to Tool>> Edges>> Prvw Equivalence. if you find any free nodes, please equivalence in the same panel.

    Dear Sir,

i dont understand this statement 'check whether the unit system is consistent or not, in your model''

In my model the units are in KG,N,MM & S and there is also no free nodes or edges in my model

    kindly explain

    Thanks

    Hello,

your units are not consistent !! You have to use t, N,mm and s. But maybe it's not the solution for your problem.

    Regards,

    Mario

I think there's problem with his mesh. Please check elements (quality, connectivity,...) and free node.

    Hi RamGanesh,

I did not see any huge displacement as seen in the pictures you shared.

Please see the attached image which shows displacement results for the same load case which you referred to:

    Hi RamGanesh,

    So what is the issue?

I think you have given a frequency range of interest and you get the same in your results.

instead, give number of modes of interest (remove V1 and V2 and give only ND) in EIGRL card.
