moments not working
Altair Employeethe moments applied on the body seem to be turned off somehow. i have tried changing the nodes where they are acting and even the magnitud. still after the analysis the body shows no stress nor displacement, as if the moments wouldnt exist. does anyone know what my problem could be?

Are you using solid elements?
A solid element has only 3 translational and no rotational dofs hence solids do not support moments applied to nodes.
In FEA we then need to work around the above fact.
So we create a rigid element connected to the face of the model where the moment needs to be with all its dependent nodes on the solid face and a calculated independent node.
(HyperMesh calculates the independent node by itself)
We then apply the same moment on the independent node.

They were not temp nodes but it is a solid element. so i guess that is the problem. i solved it exactly as you said with the rigid elements.

Please make sure that you are not applying moment on temporary nodes.
