Hai, i'm new in this software. i would like to ask something, hope you can help me.

I have a design, i drew it in Catia. It consists of some part.

The design is a rack. and i want to analyze this rack if the force is loaded in this rack.

The problem is, what should i do to mesh this design in hypermesh?

Should I mesh it part by part? Or I mesh it in an assembly?

Part by part is good approach. Is your assembly consist of solid components or combination of sheet & solid?

    Thanks Rahul for your help.

My assembly is consist of solid components only.

If I mesh it part by part, then how can i re-assembly it again in hypermesh?

because i want to anaylze the whole design, not only a part.

I hope you would have multiple part in assebly. If you only are going to mesh entire assembly then highlight only that specific part and mesh.

there are some contacts between parts of the rack. if i mesh the entire assembly, is it ok when i run the analysis?

because i want to analyze the entire rack, in every parts and contacts between parts.

what type of analysis you want to run & output?Share screenshot of your model.Radioss & Optistruct solver you can use for analysis.

i want to analyze the strength of this model. the deformation, displacement, stress etc. I used optistruct.

if you don't mind, would you like to tell me every step that i should do? from pre-processing until i get the result.

here are the screenshot of the model. i would like to give load in every rack. and i want to know the maximum load for this model.

there are some contacts. i really confused with it. because i want to know the strength of every components.

looks like you can model assembly using 1d,2d & 3d element. You can perform nonlinear or linear analysis using Optistruct solver.

Since you are a beginner  I would recommend you to spend time for meshing and analysis tutorials and then work on your project.

hai, Can i use the  autocleanup before meshing body side out shell parts? Or when we use the autocleanup in Meshing, If geometry is complicated. Pls answer anybodies?

if model have geometrical error like missing surface or overlapping surface then autocleanup would be good.

how you are planning to mesh model?

    I mean 1d 2d or 3d elements.
