CONTACT FORCES DURING AN IMPACT

Hi,

I want to know if is possible to show the forces between a panel and an impactor during a drop test.

I tryed using Th/Inter but the values I see in the plot (using Hyperview function CONTACT FORCES --> MAG) and the ones in the graph (using Hypergraph INTERFACE/THinter --> CONTACT INTERFACE '1' --> RESULTANT NORMAL FORCE) are very different!

TH INTER shows the resultant force in all the contact surface?

Hyperview function shows the local force in every single element?

Hoping to receive an answer

Thanks

    Hi,

TH INTER shows the resultant force in all the contact surface?

Hyperview function shows the local force in every single element?

yes is the answer to both questions.

/TH/INTER outputs the sum of contact force in contact interface in the time histroy output

/ANIM/VECT/CONT and /ANIM/VECT/PCONT outputs the contact forces and/or pessures at nodes in the animation output
