    Hi,

I export my .step from hypermesh with the script. it works correctly.
I do operation into each step in another software, and I save in .step.

    My question is:
Is it possible to import again into Hypermesh .step plies in order to do calculation.
More generally, is possible to import surfaces in .step, apply properties, materials and run calculation ?

Please don't hesitate to get back to me if you do not understand.

    Many thanks,

    Regards,

    Benoit MATTE

Yes, you can import the .step (.stp) file in HyperMesh. Go to File, Import-->Geometry to import the file and you can all the operations.

Note: the imported geometry may need a geometry cleanup before meshing.

ok great ! but what do you mean:

    Yes,

the geometry you imported may have some imperfections, defeautures (not necessarily on all). so you need to remove those stuff for a time efficient and quality mesh.
