2D mesh optimization waring

While using "quality index" function in HM2020.1 (2D panel), I get a warning "fixed or shared nodes cannot be optimized" and could not use "place node", "node optimize" and "element optimize". Why is it happening so?

do you have anything attached to these nodes? like constraints or even other elements, such as spring elements, or rigids?

Usually these fixed nodes are attached to something else that prevents them to be moved/optimized.

Under these 2D elements, there are 3D solid elements which have been created from these 2D elements via Tetramesh.

    that's the reason.

HM will not allow you to move these node, because they part of these 3D elements.

Unless you delete these elements and recreate them later on, you won't be able to move them using the quality index.

You could move the mode using regular translate functions, thouhg.
