Hi everibody!

I'm doing a project for university. I'm trying to analyze a wheels set connected by a tongue but i'm struggling a lot with the facial contact between shaft and tongue and and also tongue and wheel. For first i tried applying 'freeze' on every face but it doesn't gives good results so i tried with another configuration but i have convergence's problems. What can i do?

I can share the file for more information.

Thanks to all!!!!

    yes, please share the model files and also results from Freeze contact.

    In this pic ishared an example extracted by my model, here you can see where i freeze the surface between shaft and tongue (B) and also where i do the same thing for tongue and wheel (A). The simulation with this configuration converged and i obtain results.

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>33626845_WhatsAppImage2018-06-01at18_43_02.thumb.jpeg.76416cdd27a44c15a42ac3022d8ab7e9.jpeg

    howevere preview model gives these results, but in my opinion they are wrong cause they are symmetrical.

    What i want to obtain is something like this, with asymmetrical stresses congruent with the rotation

    About the simulation that doesn't converge i tried  freezing only few side of the tongue like in the pic that follows

    Unfortunately the model doesn't converge and i don't know how to fix it

    I'm going to sent you the model.

    I state that i have to do a static analysis of the gearbox.
