Reference Length in NanoFluidX

Hello eveyone,

currently i am doing Gearbox Simulations with you nanoFluidX Code. Now i am troubeling with the value of the 'reference length'. Normally the code is getting this value by itself but it is recommended that the user is giving this value manually. In the manual it says that for example the fluid hight in the gearbox should be this value. Is by this meant only the hight of the Oil in the Gearbox or is it the hight of the Oil plus the Air?

Thank you very much.

The impact of the 'reference length' for a standard gearbox is probably not that great when it comes to computing the time step to be used.  The reference velocity will likely have a larger impact on the time step.  I would probably start with the initial oil 'column height'.
