2d meshing on midsurf

that is exactly what I wrote. In hm14 there is no midsurf thickness option i utility - geom/mesh....

there is now Midsurf thickness in utility - geom/mesh.

There was a misunderstanding- you probably meant no instead of now.

To access the Midsurface Thickness Map, from the menu bar, click Mesh > Assign > Midsurface Thickness. The tool displays in a new tab in the tab area.

Also try Mesh>assign>midmesh thickness.
