Hi,

Thanks to all of you for your valuable time and efforts putting in helping others.

Actually I need your valuable guidance on meshing the below parts, it is structure made from plastic PCB Rails, Metal PCB Guides with very complex shape to hold PCB's. had attached the images of the assembly and individual parts for your reference.

horizontal members are plastic

vertical members are steel.

please guide me how to mesh this for getting accurate results.

Thanks in advance for your valuable time and efforts.

Thanks,

David

what is the end objective of this Analysis? This would help us to provide you further information on meshing such structure via 2d or 3d meshing.

For general purpose, you can work with Shell modeling.

For high quality analysis (and very expensive) you can work for solid modeling.

    My advice: Shell !!!

We don't have any specific videos for such application. However, you can look into our free ebook on Finite element analysis which should give you basic guidelines for meshing. Please use below link to download same.
