FeMT efficiency map for 3D simulation of axial flux machines
Hi guys,
I am aware of that the toolbox FeMT works for the both of 2D and 3D permanent magnet 3-phases machines. I would like to know if it also works for 3D simulation of axial flux machines? If yes, the second question is which to choose inner rotor or outer rotor when generating coupling component from Flux? Thanks in advance!
Best regards

Hi Cyril Favre,Hi Hao Zou,
Currently FEMT is dedicated for Radial motor, so it is not possible to generate efficiency map for Axial Flux machines.
With the Latest version of Flux we provide several macro dedicated to Axial Flux machines, these macro are located in the Flux installation directory of Flux in the folder.
Installation_directory\2022.1\flux\Extensions\Macros\Macros_AFIR_Machine
For the main macro you can have a look in the .PFM folder, you will have information about how to use the macro and the output of the macro.
I hope this helps

Thanks for the rapid response. Okay, FeMT is not yet for axial flux machines. Then, Is 2D simulation of PM 3-phase linear motor supported in FeMT now? Thanks!
