Hey guys,

I'm trying to apply a force at 45 degrees to either edge but can't figure out how to do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've attached an image, the arrow in red is what I want!

Thanks :)/emoticons/default_smile.png' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' title=':)' width='20'>

Thank you, how does one define a local coordinate system?

    Hi,

To create LCS use Analysis page: System Option.See attached screenshot.

You can apply forces directly while defining direction using two nodes as well.

Since you don't have any reference for defining inclined path or geometry.you can use rotate option to rotate node with 45 degree and then choose two  as n1 & n2 to define a incline direction.See attached screenshot.
