Hi all,

I encountered the problem that the status shows that the Solidworks file is ready to be imported in HyperWorks ( 2017 student edition), but I don't see my model. What should I do?

Thanks,

Kewei

    HI Kewei,

Can you export in STEP or IGES format from SolidWorks and try importing the same in HyperMesh?.

Meanwhile, is it a SolidWorks assembly file (*.sldasm)?.

When you import and you see nothing it means that importation was failed.

    Hi George,

I also use STEP and IGES format, but same thing happened, and I still saw nothing. The file is the part, not assembly file.

    Thanks,

    Kewei

    Hi Q.Nguyen-Dai,

I also think so. Actually, my document is converted from another format, and the file can be seen in Solidworks, but can't be found in Hypermesh. Do you have some tips to solve this problem?

    Thanks,

    Kewei

How many MB is  the Step file?

    Sometimes hm hides geometry data

After imported, can you try exporting geometry as parasolid format then import it again

    Hi tinh,

The file is over 180MB. I think it is too large.

    Thanks,

    Kewei
