Changing IVs in Logistic Model

​Hi, I'll try to be succinct: I created a logistic regression model, and based on the output, wanted to remove an IV from the model spec and rerun. When I go in to Modify, and remove the variable, I get the error message that "All DV values are excluded", and the model stops running. What is happening? Why can't I just remove a variable and rerun the model? Thanks for any help I can get.
