Altair Embed Crashing - AltairLogo.vsm for Altair Global Digital Twin Contest

I am attempting to run the example Altair Logo Example code for the Altair Global Digital Twin Contest that extracts the Altair logo from a supplied PNG file; however, every time I attempt to set the path for the image, the program crashes and states that "vissim32.exe" has stopped working.

Following the instructions from here under "Example for Task A", I have downloaded the example files to be used with my student edition of Altair Embed (version 2020.3 Build 57), and followed the process of supplying the file path of the "ContourToXY.dll" addon. When I try to double-click on the image block and specify the image file path, the program crashes and states that "vissim32.exe has stopped working".

I have already attempted restarting the computer and reinstalling the software; however, it appears that the uninstaller does not work properly, as when I reinstalled the software, I didn't select any addons to be installed, yet the program still reports that the addons cannot be found. I even manually deleted the Altair Embed folder, yet the application still persists in my Add or Remove Programs menu.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, and I would be more than happy to provide any additional information if necessary.
