Adhesive Connection between two Solids

Hello,
i try to simulate a adhesive connection between two solids.
First issue, i dont know how to create a adhesive connection, i tried to create it by Shell-elements (2D-->connectors-->area-->Type:adhesives), but i cant do it well.
Second issue, how to create the adhesive connection by Solid-elements.
Thank you for your respond.

Thank u for your respond. I use optistruct 2017.2
I try to superimpose my 2D Mesh with the 3D Mesh to create two identic Meshs at my solids to connect them with a adhesive. I will continue.

the connectors adhesive needs some gap to create the solid elements, otherwise they will be squized.

How can i create a adhesive Connection in a hole ? See picture. The Box of the prisma is a Solid. The Glasplate is also a solid.

if you want to fill this large gap with adhsesive, then you should create a mesh for this hole and tie it to the rest of your model. I believe this would be the correct approahc.

3d Mesh and set properities as such as the adhesive contains ? How can i tie it ? Just with equivalence the nodes ? That destroy many elements. /emoticons/default_biggrin.png' srcset='/emoticons/biggrin@2x.png 2x' title=':D' width='20' />

yes.
depending on what you want, you could just create a TIE contact, bonding everything together. Otherwise, extract faces, close the open cap with shell mesh, and create the tetra mesh, with nodes connected.

Is it possible to meet us on zoom session to show you my model ? /emoticons/default_smile.png' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' title=':)' width='20' />
in HM Help (always look at it) you will find the documentation of this panel 'area' and a tutorial showing how to use connectors area.
If you're using OptiStruct there is also Cohesive Elements, since version 2019.2, i think.
