Hi,

Could you please tell me how to reference RWALL in the Explicit subcase in Optistruct. I have defined RWALL but I am not getting any option to link that into the explicit subcase.

Thanks and Regards

Prasad Dalei

I am running the explicit analysis but it seems that it is not taking the effect of RWALL in that drop simulation.

    Hello Prasad.

Currently, OptiStruct does not have Rigid Wall for the native explicit solution. This feature was used for the OptiStruct/Radioss integration in the past. It should be supported in further releases.

So I have to take another plate with very high Young's modulus value to replicate the rigid wall. Am I correct?

You can use a conventional steel material and connect all nodes with RBE2 or RBODY. Then you apply the boundary condition to the main node. This way the part will behave as a rigid wall.
