Hi,

I have a cad file that needs to be meshed. I imported it into HyperWorks meshed it but am now not able to export it. I want to get the nodes and connectivity of the mesh like the Abaqus .inp file but in excel.

TIA

From point of view of Finite Elements, node does not have "connectivity", but the element has it.

    Hello,

Can you explain how do you imagine to export the info (nodes and elements) in Excel ?

Why do you want this info in Excel ? Is it to adress an in-house tool ?

Thanks in advance for your feedback,

    Richard

    Hi @Richard Heslouin,

I want it in excel as I felt that it is easier to export it into Tensor flow and use it in a code I am testing. I don't know if there are any other ways to do it.

    Regards

Sorry for not framing the question properly. What I meant is the element connectivity.

    Hi @Manjunath Pagadala ,

Thanks for your answer. Do you have an input example to read into Tensor flow ?

I asked you that to give you the best answer.

Matrix Browser could be one of the answer.

You mentionned you want the element connectivity but I imagine you need also the nodes coordinates, no ?

    Thanks for your feedback,

    Richard

    @Richard Heslouin

Yes, I need the coordinates too.

I am attaching an example excel file that I got from Abaqus. I need something similar to this.

    Thanks

    Hi,

This works only for the nodal coordinates. Is there a way to export the element connectivity matrix as well?

    Thanks,

    DN

    Hi DN,

This works for an element details as well, see the image

    Hi Manoj,

Ya, its working now. Thanks for the reply. Is there a way to apply and export the "element side set" as well as "node set" for the boundary conditions?

    Thanks,

    DN
