Altair licensing service failed to start

Dear support team

 

I'm an Engineer from distributor in Taiwan. Our customer has a problem when he install license manager.

 

During installation, it shows this error in the end.

Their OS is win7 64 bit. I tried 3 different version of license manager, 13.0 13.1 13.3, it shows the same error in the end. 

 

Can you help me to solve this issue? Or any suggestion can help me to diagnose this error.

    The license file is right. The only log file I found after installation is this one, but I can't see any error from it.

    And I run this commend in cmd.
    'C:\Program Files\Altair\licensing13.3\bin\lmx-serv.exe' -c 'C:\Program Files\Altair\licensing13.3\altair-serv.cfg'

     

    During this commend is running, the software can be opened, but if i close cmd window, i can't open the software.

    Do you have any suggestion to find out why licensing service failed to start?

    If you can run license server in manual mode, your license file is OK.

    If license service can not start, that's Windows issue I think. Maybe try to reinstall again the server?

    I don't use Windows for license server (only Linux!) so I can't help you more.

    you need to manually request for the license in the Altair licensing as there has been multiple problems regarding it, you have to go into the developers option to be able to request and accept the licensing, I have had this issue, facebook has helped me to understand the issue and provide me with a solution.
