How to find old Hypermesh functions in Hyperworks

You can use the Tool Finder : https://help.altair.com/hwdesktop/hwx/topics/panels/tool_finder_r.htm?zoom_highlight=tool+finder

To add or remove points you need to go to Geometry > Split > Interactive:

- Add point : left mouse button click

- Remove point : Shift +left mouse button click

I tried this function but I had the problem to delete the points already set.

Just retried and found out these points are connected to isolated surfaces (which I normally delete).

So isolating a surface does not isolate it?

I thought it detaches the surfaces.

So what is the difference to a "moving surface to other component" command than?

If you use the "I" to do Isolate or if you do a right click Isolate, it will only isolate the surface graphicaly but the surface will still ba attached to the rest of your model.

"Moving surface to other component" will reorganize your surface to a new component but connection are still present.

If you want to detach your surface from an other one for example, you can to an unstitch on the edge between the 2 surfaces.

I am not using the graphical isolation. 

There is an extra tool in Utility-Browser -> Geom/Mesh -> Isolate Surfaces

Hello, in the 2022.3 you still have this option. To access to the Utility Browser you should go to View > Utility Tab.

I don't know if I remember right, but this function did isolate and seperate the surfaces in older Hypermesh version.

This function is not working anymore, so now it is useless. 

I just did a test with the classic interface 2020 and the new interface 2022.3 and I have the same behavior. So the tool works.
Can you tell me your final goal with this option so I can check which option should help you?
