Problem about CROD elements

Hi everyone!

I tried to do a linear static analysis and I found out that the stresses on CROD elements didn't change varying Beam section Areas or Young modulus E, and I don't know why.

Attached the hyperview output image.

Please help meee!

This could be a modeling issue (massless mechanism) due to the connection of CROD and SOLID elements. CROD has axial and torsional stiffness, and solid has only 3 translational stiffness. As a workaround, create a layer of shell elements on top of the solids, so the nodes connecting to CROD have rotational stiffness.

Thank you for the answer but CROD elements are connected only to CBEAM elements (no solid elements) to model pistons pushing on the pins
