Shortcut for File > Screen Capture > Video (or Image) ?

In Hyperview (2025.1), is there a shortcut or 1-click button for capturing the screen as video or image? Used to have this in v22 and earlier, right at the top, with the camera buttons but I'm struggling to find something like that in 2025.1. Going through the menu picks every time is not ideal.

Is there a better way? (Probably…..)

If you go to File > Screen Capture. You will be able to access the same options as the classic interface. If you want to do an advanced screen capture. You can select Ctrl+F5

Christopher, thanks for the reply. However, what you are describing now takes 3 clicks to do what I could have done before in 1 click. That's the opposite of efficient. The advanced screen capture takes even more work to set up.

I'm looking for a single button press or a single keypress that will save the animation for me, just as we had in the classic interface. Does such a thing exist in 2025.1?

Hi @Dan_Casey ,

I will double confirm with the developers if there is a keyboard shortcut to access the screen capture options instead of going through the File menu. I will let you know what I find out. If there is not an option for keyboard shortcuts or accessing them through the main ribbon. I will make a request to do so.

As of now the workflow is to access the screen capture settings in the File menu.

If you are generating a report, you can use the report tool that we have in the Hyperworks interface https://help.altair.com/hwdesktop/hwx/topics/reportsX/publishing_and_report.htm .
