Hello! I am working in a topology optimization solid model in Optistruct students version. I would like to know if there is a suitable MATERIAL card for an additive manufacturing metal such as stainless steel and if it is possible to assign the anisotropic behavior.

    There are a variety of materials which can be used for 3D printing, for example, stainless steel, titanium etc...

    Thanks,  Additionally, is it possible or accurate to perform a topology optimization considering the anisotropic properties of the additive manufacturing metal (Actually I am using the card MAT9? Due to Optistruct works with the SIMP approach

    HI,

     

    If you are after some targets you can use MAT9 or MAT9ORT with lattice and I think it is possible.
