Product: Altair Analytics Workbench 5.24.2.0.1355-ga-maintenance-windows-x86_64 (AAW)

Platform: Windows 11 Professional 22H2

Licence: Community (Personal)

  • I have created a workflow called ebooks.workflow in my Workspace folder using AAW.
  • I can open the Workflow perspective in AAW.
  • Then..... nothing changes, as I cannot see my new workflow canvas, which the manual says I need to add blocks.

Is it possible to update a Workflow in Analytics Workbench with a Community/Personal licence?

............Phil

Has anyone tried to use Workflow for replicating Process Flows from SAS Enterprise Guide or SAS Studio?

A background description of what I would like to do, and not do, on the Workflow canvas:

    • I would like to chain both embedded and external SAS programs in a specific, and possibly branching, order.
    • I would like to use a conditional block to accept/restrict specific chains.
    • I am not interested in using modelling, ML or neural network blocks.

The features I am interested in using are available in SAS Enterprise Guide and SAS Studio.

Note that I am capable of writing a SAS program to include all of these features, but would prefer to be able to visualize and manipulate these features graphically

I have just upgraded from 5.24.2.0.1355 to 5.24.2.0.1415, and now the Workflow perspective works as expected. I'm presuming it was only a problem prior to 5.24.2.0.1415.

Workflows work well in Analytics Workbench 2025 GA and 2026 EA1. However, the Python code blocks are very sensitive to package versions!
