HyperMesh 2025 Tools under Edit Elements Not Working

User: "Alex_Franks2026"

I have a mesh with a certain number of bad elements with too low of Jacobian levels that I am trying to fix with HyperMesh 2025. However, whenever I try to use the Smooth, Move, and Split tools I cannot get them to work. For example, for the Move tool I will click on a node and start to drag the cursor to try and move it but it just doesn't move no matter what I try. I'm a student intern and I'm relatively new to this software so I'm not sure what other information to include but, whenever I import the file it is as a solver deck and the selected reader is Abaqus (Standard3D). Unfortunately I can't include pictures because the mesh I'm working on is meant to be confidential. Any help would be sorely appreciated.

    Hello

Without a screengrab or model file it is going to be pretty hard to really give you any advice.

My recommendation is to use a simple model (perhaps from the training) and make sure the tools work there.

YOu can refer to this module

I was able to isolate just the bad elements and got permission to post them here. Would be extremely grateful if you could figure out if its an error on my part or something else that's not letting me use the edit tools.

These are all Hex elements. The Edit Elements tools are predominately for shell elements.

What exactly are you trying to do?

No promise this will work as these elements are pretty bad, but you could try this

So, it did work in fixing some of the elements but not all of them. What we're trying to do is to get all of the elements to have a Jacobian level of 0.1 or higher. They're used to be something called the translate tool in HyperMesh 2022 that allowed us to move the nodes around manually to correct the bad elements that the automated method failed to correct but, I can't seem to find it in the 2025 version.
