HI all,

Is there any way to map thermals from 2D model to 3D model in Hyper mesh.

We get temp loads on 2D model,we are using ANSYS load mapping methodology (2D conduction,2D-3D conversion & 3D conduction are the steps will follow in ANSYS)

Thanks,

PNS

We work on front part of Aero engine.Generally we get 2D FE model (cross section)with temperature loads from customer. But we need to map those temperatures on our 3D Fe-model.

We do it using ANSYS by THERMAL MAPPING technique.Which collapses the 3D Fe-model to 2D cross section, upon which the given temperature loads are applied

As i am not so comfortable with ANSYS,I would like to know if there is some equivalent technique in HM

I don't think we have any such tools available for mapping temperature from 2d to 3d.
