Connection between SHELL and CBEAM elements
Dear friends,
Good morning, I want to know if you could please help me, I can't find a way to solve my problem. I am analyzing the structural behavior of a vehicle, and I have modeled it with CBEAM elements (chassis) and SHEEL elements (the shape): I want to connect shell and beam elements by an automatized way. Is it possible? How I can incorporate into my model? Regards.

Dear Pranav,
Thank you very much for your repply. But the problem is that I have a lot of 1d elements that I have to connect with 2D elements. I want to know if exists in Hyperworks anyway to define to the program that he finds contacts (point-surface) and assign a bonded contact.

Manually you can do by using Rigids (RBE2) or connectors. Check this pdf for more details on connectors
