SPC and SPCD

Suppose there is a node, and we want to hold that node and then apply a given enforced Acceleration curve in X-direction on that node.

Is applying a SPC on that node, then adding SPCD at that node in X-direction, and then setting that SPCD as 'Excited' in TLOAD1 a correct method to do it?
